Mr. Higier, a luminary in the shopping center industry, transitioned peacefully on December 3, leaving behind a legacy of innovation, leadership, and unwavering kindness.<\/p>\n

Mr. Higier founded Southeast Centers in 1978, embarking on a remarkable journey that would shape the landscape of grocery-anchored shopping center development in Florida. Prior to his illustrious career in real estate, Mr. Higier earned his Juris Doctor from Columbia Law School, distinguishing himself as an accomplished attorney before pivoting his talents to the realm of commercial real estate. Over the course of his career he developed more than 30 shopping centers, earning Southeast Centers a reputation as one of the premier owners of retail real estate in Florida.<\/p>\n

Beyond his professional achievements, Mr. Higier was known for his exceptional character, kindness and integrity. Colleagues and industry peers alike remember him not only for his business acumen but for the genuine warmth and generosity he extended to all who had the privilege of knowing him.<\/p>\n
